Schedule of Chapter Meetings

The Isaac Shelby Chapter generally meets for lunch at 11:30 on the third Thursday of each month. In February and December, however, it meets for dinner at 6:00 on the third Friday evening. In February we celebrate Washington's birthday, and in December we have our Christmas dinner. There is no November meeting. The venue for all these meetings is at the University Club, located at 1346 Central Avenue Memphis, TN.

Meal Orders

For our meetings, we are looking at several locations out East. We are still having some events at the University Club. Members will be contacted via email with an RSVP link a couple weeks ahead of time. Meal choices will be determined by the venue the meeting is being held at.  The new reservation system will collect your information and payment. If bringing a guest, that will be done at the same time. If you decide to bring a guest after you have made your reservation, you can add them as just a new reservation, separate from yours.

SAR Membership Dues

Annual Membership dues of $80 are paid directly to the Tennessee State Sons of the American Revolution. Each year in the fall you will receive an email with details.

Opportunities for Volunteering

Please contact Rick Treharne - Email directly. We need

everyone's help. There are many options and ways to participate.

Chapter Library

Thanks to generous donations from our members and others,

the Chapter is developing a lending library of books on subjects

related to the Revolutionary War and the subsequent development

of the United States Constitution, as well as other significant

historical events and people.

Gary Bullwinkel serves as our Chapter librarian. He maintains an

annotated list of the titles in our holdings. To view a PDF of the

list, click here.

To reserve a book, copy the title and author and email it to

Gary Bullwinkel, Chapter Librarian. The book will be waiting for you

at the next monthly Chapter meeting, and you may keep it for a

month until the following Chapter meeting.

You can also arrange to receive a book before the Chapter meeting. Gary works in the Poplar/I-240 area near the Hilton and Benihana and will gladly bring the book to work and deliver it to you. Just email or call him at 901-517-4358 to arrange a location and time.
